Welcome to Silver Palace Chinese Restaurant, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Whittier, California. This local favorite has been delighting diners for over two decades with its bold flavors and generous portions, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. The inviting atmosphere is perfect for family gatherings or a night out with friends, with a cozy setting that encourages sharing and conviviality.

At Silver Palace, the menu is a vibrant showcase of traditional Chinese dishes that cater to a variety of palates. Prepare your taste buds for an unforgettable dining experience that includes tantalizing options like the House Special Chow Mein and the Kung Pao Squid With Peanuts. For those who appreciate hearty soups, the House Special Seafood Soup, brimming with a selection of fresh seafood in a savory broth, is simply irresistible.

The walnut shrimp is another customer favorite, enveloped in a rich sauce that melds sweetness with crunch, though it might be a little polarizing for some. Not to be overlooked, the Sizzling Rice Soup offers a delightful twist, providing a satisfying crunch that contrasts beautifully with the heartiness of the soup.

When you step into Silver Palace, the first thing that hits you is the aroma of spices and freshly prepared dishes wafting through the air. The rich, warm tones of the decor create a welcoming environment where you’ll instantly feel at home. With a rotating table setup, it’s easy to share multiple dishes, making it a perfect venue for larger gatherings—just remember to make a reservation if you’re coming with a big party!

While reviews hint at some inconsistency in customer service—like experiences with unpleasant surprises or unattended requests—the overwhelming sentiment remains that the food shines above all else. Regulars like Jaime Riega express nostalgia and a sense of connection, influenced by the fusion of flavors reminiscent of “chifa” cuisine found in Peru. Meanwhile, Marco Lopez appreciates the sheer nostalgia that comes with each visit, calling it a Whittier staple that holds fast against cookie-cutter franchises.

So, whether you're a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, Silver Palace Chinese Restaurant invites you to dive into a menu of delectable offerings where tradition meets comfort. Come hungry and leave happy; your taste buds will thank you!

I have been coming here for the last 20 years when in the area and never feel disappointed. Im peruvian and the flavor for their chow mein is the closest from the “chifa” in Peru which is a fusion of peruvian and Chinese cuisine. Bold flavor, good family portions for sharing in a rotating top on the table.

my wife & i have been eating at the silver palace for many years and the food is great !!! our favorite waiter is steve, he is the best ! we have stoped going there is because we found BLACK HAIR in our food ! obviously the cooks don't wear hair nets or hats. the other reason is we love their cookies, and when you ask for more they charge 10$ for more cookies ! they lost a good customer !!!

I love the Silver dinner with special chow mein. I also love the walnut shrimp but the sauce is probably not for everyone. The portions are great and it's just good comfort food.

food was really good! portions were great. only thing that ruined my experience was the server telling me they dont have dessert.... really because i can clearly see the table across from me enjoying dessert. just bad customer service.

Ehhhh. Struggling to understand why it is rated so high, but maybe I just ordered all the wrong things? This is one of the few times that the food actually looked better then it tasted. The rice was exciting because you don't expect all the protein in a side order of rice. The red bits of beef though were large and unappetizing. The shrimp was good. Beef and broccoli was decent. The soup was not good at all, and I could smell the seasame oil through the entire bag. The cream cheese wonton was good, regular, not sweet.... Still good though! Egg roll was a little soggy on the inside, mush. Paper chicken was probably one of the worst things I heave eaten in awhile. Looks like an 8/10, but the taste is at a 5. Probablly wouldn't try again. I appreciate that they keep up with the care of the fish, I have seen other places neglect them, but these seemed fine. The decor of the restaurant was very outdated. Could be a great place, just isn't.

Absolutely nostalgic lunch. Silver Palace has been a Whittier staple for years. Service is fast. I had the Wor Wanton Soup and it's a meal and then some. Wifey had the snow peas with beef and the chicken fried rice. Excellent choices. In an era of cookie cutter franchised restaurants and trendy restaurants support a locally owned classic.
